OVERVIEW

Every day is a new adventure:

We focus on practical skills - covering 7 areas:

  • Fire lighting

  • Shelter building

  • Cooking outdoors

  • Using tools

  • Knots

  • Nature knowledge

  • Navigation

Every day, the children take on team survival scenarios - so everyone is fully active throughout.

A typical day might see them prepare a fire; bake bread; whittle a ‘butter spreader’; and finish with a team orienteering challenge around the 63 acres of forest and meadows.

On the final day, the team will put all their new skills to the test for their National Outdoor Learning Award - they get a certificate and cool badge.

“Such a professional and well run camp. Meeting new friends, working as a team to problem solve and take part in games. Would highly recommend.”

 FAQs

    • Experienced and qualified instructors

    • Facilities on site

    • Bushcraft equipment and perishables (like camp food)

    • National Outdoor Learning Award

  • Wear comfy (warm) clothing.

Bring a waterproof jacket (and trousers if you have them)

    Boots or wellies.

    Bring a day bag with:

    • a spare warm layer

    • packed lunch

    • snacks & drink

  • This is rare, but if the weather is damp and cold, we find that the activities warm you up and participants soon forget about it. A waterproof jacket should be enough. The kids may also receive a well-deserved hot chocolate and enjoy the fire for extra warmth under a large group tarpaulin.
