    Charles Montier

    FOUNDER

I’ve worked as a teacher (10yrs), Head of Adventure Learning and Senior Leader for the British Exploring Society.

As a qualified Winter Mountain Leader, Paddlesport Leader and Bushcraft Instructor, I’ve led hundreds of children - and adults - up mountains and down rivers.

My Masters (MA) thesis explored the impact of survival nights on students at risk of exclusion – and inspired me to work full time in the outdoor sector.

I am Enhanced DBS checked and hold Safeguarding and First Aid certificates.

With 6 expeditions in the Amazon jungle, I like to share stories and a passion for wild places – my new book.

My life time project is to descend every long(ish) river in the UK - so far I’ve paddled the River Thames, Cherwell, Usk, Wye, Tay, Wey, Avon, Clyde, Eden, Spey, Ness, Leven - next up the River Lune (in Cumbria).

  • Joe Trevorrow

    SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

I work as an engineer in the data centre industry, having previously served in the Royal Navy.

As a qualified Summer Mountain Leader, with other qualifications in canoeing, mountain biking and scuba diving, I love being outdoors, surrounded by Oxfordshire nature, or in the truly wild places of the world, sharing my experience with those I'm leading.

I'm passionate about inspiring young people to get outside. I believe just one impactful experience can inspire a lifetime of exploration.

I am Enhanced DBS checked and First Aid certified.

Currently, I’m planning an expedition first in the Amazon jungle and further dive trips to Scandinavia, the Baltics and further afield.

We work with fantastic organisations in Oxford and beyond.

“The students had such an incredible time on the water. There was no way they couldn’t have fun, at the same time as really enjoying the challenge and finding it surprisingly peaceful. Can’t wait until next time!”
