    a warm layer (jumper/jacket)

(If we have a cold, wet forecast, then a 3mm wetsuit is a good choice of clothing)

  • No problem! The boards are very stable but sometimes participants get wet. It’s easy to dry off and change into spare clothes when we get back. Usually it’s warm, so being wet is no problem.

  • Non-swimmers are very welcome. Everybody wears a buoyancy aid. The river is calm and easy to exit if needed.

  • It’s a beautiful and tranquil river, with many families and adults paddling on it every year. Some people swim in the river all year round.

  • This is rare, but if the weather is damp and cold, we find that paddling warms you up and participants soon forget about it. A waterproof jacket should be enough. The kids may also receive a well-deserved hot chocolate.
